My life is a culmination of math, romantic comedies, yarn, music, cookies, procrastination, and film. My math major is only just beginning, and between math texts, I read Bridget Jones’ Diary, The Devil Wears Prada, The Dim Sum of All Things and the like. Despite my complete lack of artistic talent, I do my best as an amateur knitter and crocheter, turning fat strings of wool into yarnified goods. But my tendonitis-ridden wrists protest my newfound obsession with knitting needles and crochet hooks. As a violinist, my tendons have taken quite enough of a beating as is. I bake cookies with a sort of reckless passion, haphazardly amalgamating ingredients together and adding wonderfully liberal amounts of vanilla extract. I live with the philosophy that there is too much to do and not enough time to do it all, and am therefore left with piles of unfinished to-do lists scattered hopelessly around my room. I want to learn to photograph it all for you. To show you who I am. To show you how I think. To show you why I live.

Welcome to my life.

  2. Thank you for the kind words! I love the theme, by the way ;)

  3. I can relate as a fellow procrastinator, poet, and knitter. You are by far a better knitter than me though. (I’m still struggling with the basic scarf.) I really liked your poem and think that you should either try writing poetry or posting more existing work. I could tell from your poem that you miss that comfort of being in the arms of the person you love. If you want to read some of my poetry my blog is MG11235.wordpress.com

  6. Charlotte, I miss you and I need to catch up on reading all your blog posts…in between midterms and theatre and everything else…ughhhh, haha. I am seriously counting down the days until winter break! When do classes end for you/when do you get into Tucson in Dec? We will need to get together and enjoy being the seniors that never graduated while everyone takes finals if you get back in time, haha. So looking forward to that! I misssss youuuuuuu! Love you, less than three =)

  7. and OMG I still need to learn how to knit…I know I keep saying this but I truly will need to teach myself over winter break–and this year I mean it
